Watch a real Fabivo session: a furniture photo becomes a cut list.

A real screen recording of Fabivo, not a render. A photo of an open shelf goes through the assistant, the 3D model, the cut list, the cutting plan and the assembly steps. The AI wait is sped up 6× and other parts are shortened.

Real desktop recording, 27 October 2026. Captured with Claude Haiku 5.5 through a development bridge; the app now uses GPT-6.1 Terra. AI waiting time sped up 6×; other sections shortened. Sizes are estimates. No voice narration.

What the recording shows

The recording opens with a photo of a dark wood, open shelf unit. The assistant reads it as a 1000 × 780 × 300 mm piece in 30 mm solid oak: a full-width top, two shelves and a bottom board, with three internal dividers and no back. It says the sizes are estimates from the photo, not measurements.

The video then shows the editable model, the Plan step with one 2440 × 1220 mm sheet, and the Assemble step with nine generated steps. The UI is the real desktop app. The app made the cut list, cutting plan and assembly steps from the model; no board was cut in the recording.

Stage by stage

There is no voice narration. The video uses on-screen captions, and this table describes what happens at each stage. Use a time link or the player timeline to jump to a stage.

Times are the start of each stage in the 31.6-second recording.
TimeStageWhat happens
0:00Title cardThe title card shows the photo used in the session and the words “From a photo to a cutting plan”.
0:02.4Upload a furniture photoThe assistant receives a photo of an open shelf and the prompt “Can you make this furniture?”.
0:07.3The AI builds the modelWaiting time is sped up 6×. The assistant writes a 1000 × 780 × 300 mm open shelf in 30 mm solid oak, with no back.
0:11.6Review the estimated sizesThe assistant says the size is estimated from the photo, not measured. It warns that the uprights may be wider than 30 mm.
0:16.1An editable 3D modelThe assistant panel is closed. The model turns in the viewport; the app shows 1000 × 780 × 300 mm and nine parts.
0:20.1Make the cut list and cutting planThe Plan step lists the nine boards, places them on one 2440 × 1220 mm sheet and shows the cut order.
0:25.1Follow the assembly stepsThe Assemble step lists nine steps. The open carcass step shows a diagram, screw instructions and checks.
0:29.3End cardThe end card shows the photo and the assembly screen, then the app address.

What this demo does not show

Read the recording for what it is: one real session on one photo, with honest limits.

  • This run used a different model. The recording used Claude Haiku 5.5 through a development bridge on 27 October 2026. Production now uses GPT-6.1 Terra, so another model may answer differently.
  • It is not a speed test. AI waiting time is sped up 6× and other sections are shortened. The 31.6 seconds are edited, not the real session length.
  • The sizes are estimates. The assistant estimated the overall size from the photo and used a typical 300 mm depth. Check every board against the real piece before cutting.
  • No physical build or load test. The video shows app output, not a finished piece. It does not establish strength, load capacity or safety.
  • No voice track. The recording has no narration; the on-screen captions and the transcript above carry the content.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI model built the model in the video?

Claude Haiku 5.5, through a development bridge, on 27 October 2026. The Fabivo app now uses GPT-6.1 Terra. A different model can produce a different model, take longer or make other estimates.

Is the video in real time?

No. The AI wait is sped up 6×, and other cursor and assembly sections are shortened. The finished file is 31.6 seconds. The video is not a measurement of model speed.

Are the sizes measured from the furniture in the photo?

No. The assistant estimates the size from the proportions in the photo and uses a typical depth. The 30 mm board thickness and the divider positions are also read from the photo. Measure the real piece before you cut.

Does the video prove the furniture can be built or holds a load?

No. It shows the model, the cut list, the cutting plan and the assembly steps. No board was cut and no load test was made. Check joints, fixings and wall anchors for your own build.
